絵本『（仮）アパトサウルス』29
前回のエントリーの続きを制作。
昼間の状態。まず遠景から描いていく。
これが現在の状態。完成までは至らなかった。オルニトレステスから描いていく。毒々しく冷酷な雰囲気を感じてもらえればと思う。「小さいアパトサウルス、頑張れ！」という気持ちになってもらえると嬉しい。
逆光に浮かび上がる凄惨な一瞬。残酷な場面だが、出来る限り美しく描きたい。

森の中を逃げ回る幼体のアパトサウルスと、それを狩るオルニトレステス・・・現在で言えば、密林に生息する、中型のネコ科的なニッチだったのでしょうか。
成体になれば近づく事も出来ないであろう小型獣脚類にとって、幼体は動きの鈍い、いい餌だった事でしょうね。
＞残酷な場面だが、出来る限り美しく描きたい。
アロサウルスのシーンもそうですが、こういう捕食のシーンがある事で、生きるためには他者の命を奪わないといけないんだ、という事を感じてくれればいいですね。
